My Khador army is another departure from the norm - or at least it was when I started painting it. Rather than the typical red, this army is white. I also made use of a light blue ink wash to enhance the ice-like look, particularly on armour plating. I did utilize "Khadoran red" on the warcasters (and will in a few other places as well) for a few reasons: 1) I do want to tie the typical colour scheme in slightly; 2) the fluff says that warcaster armour is difficult to make and made specifically for a single warcaster. Given that I don't think it likely they'd have several stored away in different colours and are equally unlikely to repaint it unless the warcaster was being dispatched to a region for quite some time; 3) It does help the character models stand out. The dirty, churned-up, slushy snow look was accompished by using a commercial spray-on "rock" texture product. Patches of flock provide variation to the colour scheme and basing pattern.

These models were painted in summer 2004, but more are on the way.
