With this Cryx army I wanted dark without resorting to black. My wife (who usually plays this army) decided on purple, and since I hadn't painted a purple army yet it seemed like a good way to go. To offset that and enforce the baroque look I choose a bronze tone for most of the metalwork on these pieces. Basing is in a dark brown with a swamp mix flock in an effort to to evoke swamps, graveyards and the like.

Most of these models were painted as early as 2004(?), but more are on the way.
